John Lennon’s life celebrated

The 30th anniversary of John Lennon’s death is to be marked with a charity concert and at Liverpool’s Echo Arena candlelit vigil at the European Peace Monument in Liverpool.

The concert, entitled Lennon Remembered – The 9 Faces of John, will take place on December 9 and features artists that worked with Lennon at nine different stages of the star’s life. The gig will raise money for local charities Alder Hey Imagine Appeal, Radio City’s Cash For Kids and the Mathew Street Festival.

The vigil will take place at 8pm on December 8 at Chavasse Park, Liverpool ONE. The focus will be the monument Peace & Harmony created by artist Lauren Voiers.

Fans from all over the world are expected at the events to celebrate the life of the musical genius John Lennon.
