LIVERPOOL is to be presented with a “Peace And Harmony” memorial to John Lennon.

The monument, to be unveiled in October, has been donated by California’s Global Peace Initiative. It will mark Lennon’s 70th birthday and the 30th anniversary of his assassination.

Patricia Yates, of VisitBritain, said: “We expect it to attract hundreds of thousands of Lennon fans.”
